Our Riggins steelhead fishing charters take you into a stretch of roadless area where you can experience an unplugged fishing adventure in the Frank Church Wilderness. You can book single day and 3-day fishing charters with us.

How Single Day fishing trips work

You will meet your boat captain (also your fishing guide) at the Vinegar Creek boat ramp. You’ll have your own personal jet boat for your fishing trip. Our jet boats are Coast Guard certified and stocked with everything you need for your fishing excursion. Our fishing trips typically begin at 8am and you will spend the day fishing and enjoying the river. We will drop you back at the boat ramp around 5pm.

Single day trips are a great introduction to the Salmon River. With this trip you will boat and fish about 25 miles of river.

How 3-Day fishing trips work

This is a 3-day fishing trip that leaves from Vinegar Creek. Lodging at a backcountry ranch is included and you’ll spend 3 days fishing and two nights on the river. Meals are included. You’ll have your own personal jet boat for your fishing trip. Our jet boats are Coast Guard certified and stocked with all the fishing gear you’ll need for your 3-day excursion.

The Vinegar Creek boat ramp is located 27 miles up the main Salmon River out of Riggins, Idaho. From Riggins it takes about an hour to drive to the boat ramp. See where its located on a map – Google Map

You can add lodging at a backcountry ranch to your fishing trip with us or you can arrange lodging in Riggins, Idaho.

Lunches are not included in our single day fishing trips but are included in our 3-day trips.

Yes! Our boats are stocked with rods, bait and tackle.

Yes, you must purchase an Idaho fishing license and Steelhead fishing permit. For detailed information visit https://idfg.idaho.gov/rules/fish.

Yes, there is a boat minimum of $1,250 or 5 people. Additional people are $250 per person. We have a max group size of 16 people.

Full refunds are given for cancelations that occur 30 days before our 1-day fishing trips (minus transaction fees). If you cancel within 30 days of your trip you will receive a 50% refund (minus transaction fees). If we should have to cancel because of unpredictable circumstances (water level, ice, fires, US Forest Service restraints etc) you will receive a full refunded.

Spring steelhead fishing starts when the ice melts on the river, which is usually mid-february. For the best spring fishing, we suggest you book your steelhead trip mid-february through the end of April.

The fall season opens in September but the fish don’t typically arrive to Riggins until October. For the best fall steelhead fishing, we suggest you book your trip October – November. Fall fishing goes until the river freezes which is typically late November/early December.

Payment is due in full at the time of booking.
