How 3-Day fishing trips work

This is a 3-day fishing trip that leaves from Vinegar Creek on the Salmon River. Lodging at a backcountry ranch is included and you’ll spend 3 days fishing and two nights on the river in the Frank Church Wilderness. Meals are included. You’ll have your own personal jet boat for your fishing trip. Our jet boats are Coast Guard certified and stocked with all the fishing gear you’ll need for your 3-day excursion.

The Vinegar Creek boat ramp is located 27 miles up the main Salmon River out of Riggins, Idaho. From Riggins it takes about an hour to drive to the boat ramp. See where its located on a map – Google Map

You can stay in Riggins, Idaho the night before your trip.

Yes, there is a boat minimum of $6,000 or 5 people. Our boat max is 6 poeple.

Yes, our boats are stocked with rods, bait and tackle.

Spring steelhead fishing starts when the ice melts on the river, which is usually mid-february. For the best spring fishing, we suggest you book your steelhead trip mid-february through the end of April.

The fall season opens in September but the fish don’t typically arrive to Riggins until October. For the best fall steelhead fishing, we suggest you book your trip October – November. Fall fishing goes until the river freezes which is typically late November/early December.

If you cancel, the 50% reservation retainer and all other payments made are non-refundable. If you are paid in-full at the time of cancelation, 50% of your payment may be applied to a future date within the same calendar year. If we should have to cancel because of unpredictable circumstances (water level, ice, fires, US Forest Service restraints etc) all payments will be refunded.

Yes, 50% of your trip cost is due at booking. The remaining 50% of your trip cost is due within 14 days on your trip date.
